The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, one of the largest states in US, is conducting investment seminars in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Pennsylvania, Gateway to North America, will feature a trade and investment delegation headed by Community and Economic Development Secretary, Mr Dennis Yablonsky. The seminars will be held in Mumbai on November 13, Hyderabad on 15th and Bangalore on 16th are sponsored and supported by CII, Nasscom, TCS, AppLabs and Reed Smith LLP.

Mr Yablonsy in a statement said "Pennsylvania is working to significantly expand its global presence by aggressively pursuing opportunities in rapidly expanding global markets. Through Governor Edward G. Rendell's innovative $15-million World Trade PA initiative, Pennsylvania is committed to increasing Pennsylvania's share of trade in foreign markets.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is being projected as a business destination and the visit is aimed to educate and demonstrate the State's strengths as a location for investment.

It is the second largest investment destination in the north-eastern US and home to about 5,860 foreign-owned companies.

The main goal for these seminars is to stimulate interest into the investment activities in the commonwealth by Indian companies, and increase foreign direct investment to secure jobs and capital for the State.
