Hutch launches mobile shop

Hutch has launched a mobile Hutch shop in Kerala to cater to its fast growing customer base in the State.

Mr Samuel Selvakumar, Operations Director, Hutch said that the mobile shop would offer all services like any Hutch shop. It has three customer service desks for speedier service. The services include activation of post-paid connection, sale of prepaid SIM card, payments, online connectivity to the billing system through the nationwide GPRS service, customer query resolution and so on.

The mobile shop service will be available in Ernakulam district initially and later extended to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram by December. At present, Hutch has coverage in 560 towns in Kerala and it has increased its sites to 737 from 285, Mr Selvakumar said.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sankara Narayanan, COO, Hutch said that the service would be useful to the mobile user on the move, the busy professional of today. The mobile Hutch shop will travel to pre-determined locations for fixed durations every day, he added.
