Software Info-Tech - Alliances & Joint Ventures VISaer, IBS Americas in pact for offshore service Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , Nov. 8 VISaer Inc, a leader in aviation maintenance and engineering software solutions, has announced that it has signed additional agreements with IBS Americas for providing offshore software development services. IBS Americas is an IBS Group company and a leading provider of software solutions to the travel, transportation and logistics industries. It will provide VISaer with contracted development and technology assessment resources in support of VISaer Version 3. The VISaer products have been built using Microsoft technologies. Elaborating, Mr V.K. Mathews, Chairman and Managing Director, IBS Group, said that these additional agreements were an endorsement of IBS' capabilities in maintaining and supporting mission-critical applications.
ESDF methodology
"We partner with our customers to help address their business needs using the extended software development facility (ESDF) methodology. IBS will set up an exclusive pool of resources that would operate as an extension of the VISaer's systems development team. "The processes are aligned to those followed by VISaer, thus enabling the ESDF team to blend in seamlessly with the VISaer team, while maintaining the CMMI Level 5 controls to ensure a high level of quality." The broadening of the alliance supplements existing technology, marketing and support agreements.
