Chennai airport security beefed up

Security has been beefed up in and around vital installation at Chennai airport, as a result of the threat letter received at Tiruchi airport on Wednesday, according to Mr Dinesh Kumar, Chennai Airport.

Airport sources said that security has been tightened at exit and entry points. People entering the airport are been frisked and vehicle checks carried out. Security at the cargo complex has been tightened at all entry and exit point. People entering the complex are also being frisked and all pass holders have been asked to display their passes.
