MR PANKAJ RAZDAN, MD

Hyderabad , Nov. 13

Prudential ICICI Asset Management Company Ltd is planning to expand its presence to a total of 180 places by the end of 2007 from the present 100.

The company also plans to strengthen its distribution channel by having more agents. "Besides, we are going to lay stress on investor education and awareness. Investor education is a big challenge in India," Mr Pankaj Razdan, Managing Director of Prudential ICICI Asset Management Company Ltd, said.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said the company outpaced the market by growing at higher rates.

Replying to a question, he said in the long-term the stock market looked very good and attractive. He, however, said there could be volatility in the short-term.

Mr Pankaj was here in connection with the launch of Prudential ICICI Equity and Derivatives Fund. The fund offering would close on December 7.
