Govt Bonds Bonds fall tracking US treasury yields Our Bureau
Dealers said that US treasury yields hardened by 4 basis points on the back of the release of the minutes of the US Federal Reserve meeting which indicates that inflation is still a concern. Market participants said that since domestic bond prices had rallied in the past few days, there was some profit booking as well. The 7.59 per cent, 10-year, 2016 paper opened at Rs 100.35 (7.53 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 100.30 (7.54 per cent YTM), lower than Wednesday's Rs 100.43 (7.52 per cent YTM). The 8.07 per cent, 11-year, 2017 paper opened at Rs 103.76 (7.53 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 103.77 (7.53 per cent YTM), against Wednesday's Rs 103.86 (7.52 per cent YTM).
