Retailing Web Extras - Interiors & Homes House Full to set up 52 retail stores Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov. 20 House Full International Ltd, a retail chain offering complete home improvement products and solutions, plans to set up 52 retail stores across the country in the next three years at an investment of Rs 350 crore. Announcing this here at the opening of a 25,000-square feet store here at Malakpet, House Full's Executive Director, Mr Arif Sheikh, said the company had already started operations in Pune, Surat, Chandigarh and Nasik, apart from Hyderabad. It plans to set up nine more stores before the fiscal-end. Of these, five would come up in the western region, three in the North and one in Kolkata. The House Full stores would offer a complete range of home improvement products and services, including building material right from cement, bricks, doors, windows, tiles, sanitary ware and paints to complete customised designer furniture, home furnishings, consumer durables and electronic products - all under one roof. Further, these stores also offer a wide array of products and services for home décor, home maintenance, home repair and remodelling and maintenance of buildings.
"We have already tied-up with several manufacturers both in the country and from 32 countries to directly source products in 110 categories. We have purchase offices in the US, Europe and Far East. In India, we have set up a huge warehouse spread over 2 lakh sq. ft in Bhivandi of Maharashtra. Further, the vendor partners have also committed to invest over Rs 100 crore to set up their store-in-stores in our retail stores," Mr Sheikh said.
Stating that the objective was to make available all the products and services at a reasonable price, he said the arrangements with manufacturers for directly sourcing the products helped the company offer products at competitive prices.
The House Full stores would also offer personalised gifts for almost every product using the latest technology. "For the first time in the country, we are providing a `braille store directory' exclusively for the benefit of shopping for the visually challenged customers," Mr Arif Sheikh said.
