Inn Venue signs MoU with Hotel Surya

The market for such four-star hotels is high in Pune.

Inn Venue Hospitality has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Pune-based Hotel Surya Pvt Ltd to manage their new venture, Deccan Rendezvous, a four-star category hotel, the first of its kind in the city.

Mr Rajendra Kelshikar, Director, Inn Venue Hospitality, talking about the venture said it has 56 rooms, which includes 46 executive rooms, eight executive superior rooms and two executive suites. The rooms are equipped with facilities such as Internet connectivity and electronic safe among others. He said that the market for such four-star hotels was high while stating that there were, in the city, about 600 rooms in the three and four-star category. It could accommodate another 500 to 800 such rooms, he pointed out. Deccan Rendezvous has a multi-cuisine restaurant `Glass Window' and a pub `Soul Purpose'.

A pan-Asian restaurant with South East Asian cuisine would be opened to the customers in the next six months.

It also has conference and banquet venues called Ebenos and Fountainhead and a roof-top party area Blue Canopy.

He said Rs 15 crore has been utilised for creating Deccan, which excluded the land cost. He said Inn Venue was also looking at a couple of locations in the city for four-star hotels.

Talking about the other plans, he said its bakery and pastries chain, Baker's Basket, which already has seven outlets in the city, would be adding another four more. Plans are also on for adding more Polka Dots multi-cuisine restaurant in the city, where there are already two. He noted that catering for Deccan and its other locations would be carried out from a centralised location, which was in Hadapsar in Pune.

The facility, which had opened up a couple of years ago, is currently running at 60 per cent capacity.
