Mumbai, Nov. 23

Hathway Cable and Datacom Pvt Ltd has entered into a partnership with the UK-based NDS Group Plc to bring interactive gaming on the digital cable platform to its subscribers, the company said in a press release on Thursday.

Hathway is the first Indian Multi System Operator to offer interactive gaming on the digital cable platform. A bouquet of 10 games will initially be offered free-of-cost to Hathway subscribers in seven locations: Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Jalandhar and Chennai. The games will be one-player or two-player games. In two-player games, the participants take turns, passing the remote control used to play the game from one to the other.

The company plans to launch digital services with gaming in Mysore by the end of the month and Nashik by the end of the year. Hathway Cable and Datacom Pvt Ltd, part of the Rajan Raheja Group, provides cable TV services in 13 cities across India.
