New Delhi , Nov. 28 Eurofly, a private sector airline from Italy, is to launch direct non-stop flights between Rome and Delhi from January 15. Addressing a press conference, the airlines Executive Vice-President, Mr Armando Brunini, said that the airlines would operate an Airbus A-330 aircraft that would offer 286 seats in each direction.
Flight schedule
"The flight will operate from Delhi every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We will offer a promotional fare of Rs 20,000 on the new flight. Besides, passengers will also be able to connect to New York very easily," said Mr Brunini. Hampered by the existing air services bilateral between India and Italy, the airline has no plans of adding more flights to Delhi or any other destinations in India just yet. "The current bilateral does not allow us to operate more than three flights a week or to fly to another city here. We, however, feel that there is tremendous market here and the launch of the new non-stop service will further stimulate the market not only for those planning to travel to other parts of Europe but also Italy," said Mr Brunini.
