Meet on radiation technology

Mangalore University — in association with National Association for Applications of Radioisotopes and Radiation in Industry (NAARRI), Mumbai, and Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT), Mumbai - will conduct a two-day seminar on `Applications of radioisotopes and radiation technology' in Mangalore from November 29.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Prof K.M. Kaveriappa, Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, said the seminar would focus on the applications of radioisotopes and radiation technology in agriculture, industry, healthcare and research and development sectors. Apart from the seminar, there will an exhibition on `Peaceful application of atomic energy'.

Dr A.K. Kohli, Chief Executive of BRIT and President of NAARRI, will deliver the inaugural address. Dr G. Nageswara Rao, Station Director, Kaiga Generating Station of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, will release the souvenir.
