Telecommunications Marketing - Promotions & Offers States - Karnataka Airtel unveils Easy Music card in Karnataka Our Bureau
Bangalore , Nov. 28 Now you can buy music from your roadside stall. Airtel on Tuesday launched Easy Music card in Karnataka, in association with Indiatimes 8888. These music cards, priced at Rs 30 and Rs 50, will sit alongside the shampoo sachets and are expected to make it easier for the mobile user to buy ringtones. While the Rs 30-ringtone card allows a subscriber to download three monotones, the Rs 50-VAS (value added services) combo card offers a variety of content to choose from across categories such as monotones, truetones, polytones, wallpapers, games and video clips.
Games, music & more
With games based on movies becoming popular, the Gurgaon-based development team of Times Internet has turned to international gaming firms such as Italian Bon Journo and the Philippine-based Chikka Asia for partnership. Exclusive music tones of Dr Rajkumar hits, Upendra hits and Sudeep hits are available on these cards. Wallpapers and posters of films such as Jogi, Auto Shankar and My Autograph are also available from the content library being provided by Times Internet. "There is no longer a need to visit the WAP site to download music," said Mr V. Venkatesh, COO, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel Karnataka. The cards will be available in 840 towns by the end of the month. Airtel's channel of 470 distributors in Karnataka will ensure it reaches the 12,500 villages in the provider's network in the State. The companies also expressed a notion that a card containing music from the yet-to-be-released Hindi movie Guru will be offered to subscribers shortly.
