Real Estate & Construction States - Andhra Pradesh NAC training institute for Kadapa Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov. 28 The National Academy of Construction (NAC) plans to establish a Mechanical Trades Training Institute (MTTI) at Pulivendula in Kadapa district with an investment of Rs 7 crore. The institute to come up on a 9.88 acre site in the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's home town, would provide training, testing and certification in the trades of operator, bulldozer, motor grader, excavator, mobile crane, tipper etc. The MTTI also plans to introduce training in skilled areas of operation and maintenance of compressors, generators, pumps, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and pneumatic tools, according to an official release. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister directed the organisation to take up training of semi-skilled rural construction workers and monitor their overseas employment status online regularly. The NAC is a licensed manpower export agency under the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. Apart from imparting training to unskilled labour, the NAC has organised executive development programmes. It has launched post-graduate and diploma programmes in highway technology and building technology, the release added. The Chief of Nagarjuna Constructions, Mr A.V.S. Raju, Vice-Chairman, Mr A. Ramakrishna, Director-General of NAC Major General, C.T. Chary and others participated in the meeting.
