Rubber Spot rubber firms up Aravindan
Kottayam , Dec. 4 The domestic spot rubber closed slightly firm on Monday. It was not the real consumer support that kept the prices firm, but the market reacted to the late recovery in TOCOM and the spurt in domestic futures, sources said. RSS 4 finished better at Rs 76.25 against Rs 76.00 a kg at Kottayam.
Futures improve
The rubber futures improved further quoting the December delivery at Rs 77.90 (Rs 76.99) a kg on MCX. The volumes were 217 (116) tonnes. On NMCE, the December contract improved to Rs 78.75 (Rs 77.43), January to Rs 79.25 (Rs 76.63), February to Rs 81.35 (Rs 78.32) and March to Rs 82.40 (Rs 79.89) per kg for RSS 4. Physical prices per kg were: RSS-4: Rs 76.25 (Rs 76); RSS-5: Rs 75 (Rs 74.50); ungraded: Rs 73.50 (Rs 73); ISNR 20: Rs 74 (Rs 74.50) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 48.40 (Rs 48.40).
