Report on women-media study

The Institute of Development Studies, Kolkata, which has been working for the past three years on a project titled "Women & Media in the Context of Globalisation" with support of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Berlin, will shortly present its findings at the Centre For Social Sciences & Humanities, Calcutta University Alipur Campus.

The collaborators in the project include School of Women's Studies, Jadavpur University, West Bengal; Women's Studies Research Centre, Guwahati University, Assam; School of Women's Studies, Utkal University, Orissa; and Sanjhi Duniya, Lucknow. Prof. Amiya Kumar Bagchi, Director of Institute of Development Studies, Kolkata, and Ms Jasodhara Bagchi, Chairperson, West Bengal State Commission for Women, among others will speak on the occasion.
