`Partnership crucial to make infrastructure world-class'

The Minister of State for Defence, Government of India, Mr M.M. Pallam Raju, has urged the industry to come together "to make the country's infrastructure world-class."

While addressing delegates at the "2nd International Conference on Facility Management" organised by the CII (Northern Region), he said: "A collective responsibility between the Government as the facilitator, the private sector and the public sector will play a key role in driving the growth of this new and emerging sector."

Making a special mention of the armed forces, Mr Raju said the industry could take lessons from our armed forces on the upkeep and maintenance of establishments.
