Orb Energy has opened its fifth branch in Karnataka in Mangalore. A company release said here that Orb Energy — which has branches in Kumta, Kundapur, Udupi and Shimoga - has plans to open 25 branches in Karnataka and subsequently expand its network nationwide. Orb Energy expects to invest Rs 12 crore in the country, with plans to build a national network to support customers, the release said. Quoting Mr N.P. Ramesh, Chief Operating Officer of the company, the release said: "By the end of 2007, we will have established 15 branches." Over the next 5 years, Orb Energy intends to reach more than one lakh residential and commercial customers and create more than 250 jobs. Orb Energy is headquartered in Singapore with sales and assembly operations in Bangalore.
