Mysore-based Excelsoft Technologies a provider of e-learning solutions has signed a five-year deal with the European firm — Wolters Kluwer Education (WKe), a division of Wolters Kluwer.

WKe is the leading provider of primary, secondary and vocational educational material, content and services in seven European countries (the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Austria, and Hungary). The deal covers the use of Excelsoft's e-learning Application Framework across all WKe publishing houses. It also includes development of custom e-learning applications on the framework for each of the publishing houses.

However, the deal size was not disclosed. "The use of Framework will help WKe create a common platform for learning, while delivering a competitive edge in the European marketplace, for delivering digital learning content," said Mr D. Sudhanva, CEO of Excelsoft, in a press release. "Excelsoft has created strong intellectual property in the area of e-learning technologies. It combines its strengths in software development, instructional design and e-learning content development to deliver world-class e-learning solutions," he said.
