Hyundai sales up 42% in December

Hyundai Motor India has reported a 42.3 per cent increase in its domestic vehicle sales during December at 11,067 units compared with 7,777 units during the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company has clocked sales of 12,288 units in the overseas market during the month, up 50 per cent from last year, HMI said in a statement. The cumulative sales, including exports in December, stood at 23,355 units.

For the calendar year 2006, the company said its cumulative sales stood at 2,99,513 units, an increase of 18.5 per cent over the previous calendar year.
