Scorpio sales touch 30,000-mark

Scorpio sales reached 30,000 units (inclusive of exports) for the calendar year 2006 against 25,028 units in 2005.

According to a press release, Mahindra & Mahindra's automotive sector sold 3,397 units (2,739 units) for December, a rise of 24 per cent for the same period last year.

The company had combined sales (local and exports) of its vehicle range (utility vehicles + light commercial vehicles + three-wheelers) at 15,132 units against 10,436 units for the year ago period. Total monthly (December) sales of its farm equipment sector stood at 6,759 units, including exports, a 21-per cent rise over same period last year.
