Suven Life Sciences has secured global certifications - OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001. Both these are voluntary initiatives for the safety and well being of the company's workers and communities around the manufacturing units.

The company announced that as safety, health and environment (SHE) was of paramount importance hence the company created a formal SHE policy. To validate it as a global standard it has appraised the company's systems through an external agency, Intertek of the UK.

The company's comprehensive environmental management system complies with the requirements as stipulated in the standard ISO 14001: 2004 and its Occupational Health and Safety management system (OHSAS) complies with the requirements as stipulated in the standard OHSAS 1999 for all three units of the company, Suven said in a press release.
