Of this, soyameal accounted for over five lakh tonnes, with the rest mainly accounted for by rapeseed extraction as well as extractions of groundnut, rice bran and castor seed.

Aggregate exports during the first eight months of the current fiscal have touched 31.8 lakh tonnes (24 lakh tonnes).

Soyabean extraction accounted for 21.6 lakh tonnes (16.4 lakh tonnes) during the April-December period.

Rapeseed meal performance improved to 6.6 lakh tonnes (4.4 lakh tonnes).

Groundnut meal exports fell due to lower kharif crop.

Castor meal showed a decline. South Korea and China remain India's largest oil meal customers.
