Scientific temper

This is with reference to "Nurturing the scientific temper" (Business Line, January 9): Scientific temper among children should be instilled when they are in elementary school.

The foundation should be laid when the child is goes to pre-school. Our education system should be revamped; it should be oriented encourage children to be creative.

More importance should be given to research.

New technologies should be well utilised. India's success lies in its ability to innovate and invent.
