Kotak Mahindra Bank launches gold coins

Actor and danseuse Shobhana launched the newly introduced gold coins of the Kotak Mahindra Bank - the 24-carat Gold Eternity Swiss made gold coins - in the Kerala market here today.

Addressing a press meet, Mr K.V.S. Manian, Head (Retail Liabilities and Branch Banking), said that the bank is looking at selling 25 kg of gold in the Kerala market in the next three months. He pointed out that the bank had already sold around 10 kg of gold when it introduced the higher denomination of gold in 50 and 100 gm in the State in September last year. Kerala and Tamil Nadu are the leading markets for gold coins, he said.
