Coimbatore, Jan. 19

Nucleus Software Exports Ltd has been awarded a contract for implementing its flagship product FinnOne and PowerCARD in Japan's second largest consumer finance company — ACOM Co. The contract, said to be the biggest so far for Nucleus, is, according to its CEO and Managing Director Mr Vishnu Dusad, `worth more than its last year's revenue of Rs 148 cr.' The implementation is expected to be completed by 2009.

Mr Dusad told Business Line that ACOM was the first Japanese-owned financial institution that sought to implement FinnOne. `We will be providing the support services as well after the project goes live in 2009, and this contract is separate from this deal,' he said. The offshore development services are to be offered from India.
