New Delhi Jan. 20 The Polit Bureau of the CPI (M) on Saturday came up with a six-point action plan that the Government should adopt for checking inflationary pressures in the economy.

While expressing "serious concern" over the rising inflation rate, which has now crossed 6 per cent, the CPI (M) has, in a statement, highlighted that the poorer sections are being particularly hit because of the rise in prices of pulses, vegetables and cereals.

It has urged the Government to immediately ban futures trading in essential commodities.
