Elder Pharma Q3 net profit up

Elder Pharmaceuticals has posted a 35.66-per cent rise in net profit at Rs 14.57 crore (Rs 10.74 crore) for the third quarter ended December 31. Net sales grew 31.72 per cent to Rs 115.69 crore (Rs 87.83 crore). The earnings per share stands at Rs 7.84.

During the quarter, Elder entered into a marketing pact with F Hoffman La Roche for Bon Viva, a drug for osteoporosis. Elder's focus areas in the years to come shall be diabetology and cardiology, the company said in a press release. Shares of the company fell 2.79 per cent to close at Rs 415.75 on BSE.
