The Hindu Business Line : 30-member cashew team in Vietnam

Kochi Jan. 23 A 30-member delegation of Indian cashew exporters is on a 4-day visit to Vietnam during January 22 - 25 for holding discussions with Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS).

The delegation comprising 28 exporters from six States will hold several high level meetings at Ho Chi Minh City on various aspects such as standardisation of grades, joint representation in International Treenut Council to muster due importance of cashews; conducting promotional events jointly in consumption destinations; nutritional study and promotion thereof; and continuing exchange of personnel and information.

To visit farms

Besides, it will also visit cashew farms, factories and research centres and interact with all the stakeholders concerned with cashew in Vietnam.

The Union Ministry of Commerce has extended all assistance and guidance to the delegation sponsored by the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India, an official release here said.
