Bharat Electronics Q3 net up 53%

Bharat Electronics has posted a net profit of Rs 148.18 crore for the October-December 2006 quarter, registering a growth of 52.7 per cent year on year over its 2005 third quarter figure of Rs 97 crore.

The defence PSU posted net sales of Rs 863.79 crore (Rs 670.86 crore) for the third quarter. EPS was Rs 18.52 (12.13). The nine-month profit was Rs 356.74 crore (Rs 300.27 crore).
