Asian Paints: Betting on global reach

The Rs 10-face value Asian Paints stock is being observed for what some analysts indicate are the company's widening reach, its margin consistency and growing bottomline. The paints outfit, which has a 1-2 per cent share of the south-east Asian region, has lately recorded a discernible growth in international business, including in West Asia market. Its latest quarterly turnover, however, is being considered somewhat subdued vis-à-vis that witnessed in the last quarter. This is because the company had recorded huge sales during Diwali, the festival season coinciding with Q2.

On Monday, the stock dipped marginally to close at Rs 778.35 on NSE. Its 52-week high and low are Rs 847.90 and Rs 500 respectively. A modest 23,000 shares made up the volumes.
