Tommy Hilfiger to launch watches

Pune Feb. 9 Tommy Hilfiger is set to launch a limited edition of automatic watches.

Talking to presspersons, Mr S. Natarajan, National Sales Manager, Accessories and Licensing, said the company would be coming out with 500 watches for the entire global Tommy Hilfiger fans, and of this, 50 would be coming into the domestic market. The automatic watch would be priced at Rs 19,995and is in the male category.

Ms Shyamala Ramanan, Marketing Manager, said the company would be promoting this limited edition through direct mailers to the Titan customers and by personal invitiations. These would be sent out through mailers and these `exclusive' customers would be given a chance to preview the watch and make a purchase. It would be on a first-cum-first-serve basis and would be showcased at select outlets.

However, the pictures of these watches would be sent out to its entire dealer network as also a few of the departments stores. Tommy Hilfiger is available in departments stores such as Shoppers Stop, LifeStyle and Central.

She added that these watches would come in with a key number and a certificate which would give its customers, the exhilaration of owning a one of its kind watch.

Mr Natarajan said Tommy Hilfiger is also launching Valentine special watches, Tommy VX10 and Camille, which would be on offer till February 14. Tommy VX10, a sports chronograph watch, has a stainless steel bracelet, sub-second track and aggressive numbers in `motion' on the dial. Priced at Rs 8,995 and Rs 9,995, it offers multiple dial colour options and is available with bracelet or coll perforated rubber straps in black blue and brown leather. The plain 3-hand with date option of the same family is available at Rs 5,995 and Rs 6,995, he said.

Camille is sleek, stainless steel bracelet with features alternating black enamel and Swarovski crystal links with polished steel self-adjusting links at the back for a custom fit. This being the women's range offers a jet black enamel basel with contrasting white enamel dial detailed by four slender Roman numerals. White enamel and all steel models is also available and is priced at Rs 5,995, he said.
