Financial Tech: Betting on growth

The stock of Financial Technologies gained 3.74 per cent in adverse market conditions. According to market players, the company's recent announcement that it plans to set up an international multi-commodity exchange, Global Board of Trade (GBOT), has buoyed sentiment for the stock. GBOT, in which Financial Technologies will own a majority stake, had received an in-principle approval from the Financial Services Commission in the Mauritius.

The expectation of bonus issue also appears to have triggered trading interest in the stock.
