Valentine-day virus

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Feb. 14

Valentine-day viruses were let loose on the Internet again this year. Security firm F-Secure Corporation detected the virus Valenavir.A and its variant Bzub.HZ. The virus disguises itself as a Valentine's e-card notification e-mail.

When you click on the link, it redirects you to a page that asks you to install a fake Macromedia Flash Player. The fake player is actually a Trojan that downloads and installs a BZub variant into the system, the company said in a release issued on Wednesday.
