Kottayam Feb. 27 As a company under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and wholly owned subsidiary of Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd, the Hindustan News Print Ltd (HNL) has carved a success story for itself braving heavy odds, said Mr R.L. Bhatia Governor of Kerala inaugurating the silver jubilee celebrations of HNL.

Ever since its inception in 1982 when the news print nagar came alive with the production of the first reel of paper from here, this public sector undertaking has been on the right track.

HNL has grown over the years into one of the finest integrated news print mills in the country. A major expansion-cum-diversification project is underway with a total capital outlay of Rs 718 crore.
