ADRs recover

Chennai Feb. 28 Even as the domestic stock markets slumped by about 4 per cent with the Budget failing to pep up the sentiment, select ADRs listed in the US markets recovered.

Leading the gainers' pack was ICICI Bank, whose ADR recovered 3.69 per cent, followed by Infosys (2.41 per cent) and HDFC Bank (1.96 per cent). All the three counters slipped by about 5 per cent on the BSE.

However, the other tech majors - Satyam, Wipro and Patni Computers were in the red losing between 3.25 per cent and 1.25 per cent.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 122 points while Nasdaq gained by about 18 points. Tata Motors and VSNL were the other ADRs to edge up.
