`Minimal impact on bottomline'

MR V. BALAKRISHNAN

Bangalore, Feb. 28

The impact of MAT on company's bottomline would be around 1.5 per cent, after the double taxation is offset, Infosys Technologies' CFO Mr V. Balakrishnan said. This implied that the tax liability of Infosys would have a minimal impact of 1.5 per cent. However, Wipro Ltd doesn't face any additional liability as the effective tax outgo as a percentage of profit before tax (PBT) is already higher than the MAT, said its CFO Mr Suresh Senapaty.
