Hyderabad, March 1 The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Wednesday complimented the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, for the budget thrust on the agriculture and welfare sectors.

Addressing a press conference here, Dr Reddy said this move has been complimented by another important decision of allocation of additional share of Central Taxes to the State.

The State Finance Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, said that the Union Budget's thrust on agriculture and improving the farm sector compliments the State's objectives of growing and consolidating the agro-based economy.
