Kolkata March 4 No sales were held in the three auction centres in North India due to the paucity of stocks.

Initial invoices from Dooars of CTC tea continued to sell in the region of Rs 100-120 per kg. No teas from Assam/Darjeeling were seen in the local market till date.

CLIMATE CONDITIONS

Whilst the climate has been conducive to good production, the night temperature in the last few days was reported lower than normal and, if this continues, the production may be affected. The auctions in Colombo continue to escalate with strong demand from international markets due to low crop estimates following dry weather conditions.
