Cisco has released Unified Communications system, a comprehensive communications system for voice, video and data. The new release — v.6.0 — extends new collaboration features and third-party application integration across the portfolio.

The system integrates wired, wireless and mobile devices to create a secure solution for the entire organisation, regardless of a worker's location. Cisco Unified Communications System 6.0 is built on open industry standards so that organisations can mix and match their communications technologies to meet their business needs. It includes the Cisco Unified Mobile Communicator, Wireless IP Phone 7921G, Communications Manager Business Edition (formerly Cisco Unified CallManager), Contact Centre Express, MeetingPlace 6.0 and Unity 5.0.
