Firepro Systems opens office in Melbourne

Bangalore March 22 Firepro Systems, leading Indian fire protection and security systems company, has opened an office in Melbourne aiming to spread its business overseas. The opening of the office was announced by the company here on Thursday.

The Victoria Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Mr Tim Holding, formally declared the opening of the office at the at the Victorian Investment Centre.

"I am delighted to welcome Firepro to Victoria. Firepro's expansion here is testament to Victoria's thriving IT sector, and their plans for expansion further still means even better news for jobs and innovation in Melbourne," he said.

Firepro specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of fire safety, electronic security and building management systems.

Firepro has leading multinationals such as Microsoft, Oracle, Motorola, Lucent and Intel as its clients.

In Australia, the company will target both the government and corporate sectors. It has already secured a contract with the Victorian Department of Education and Training for providing services required for the Department's hydraulic fire safety programme.

Mr N.S. Narendra, Managing Director of Firepro, said the Melbourne office will be the first step in expanding the business throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific.
