Kolkata March 22 The $ 31-million turnover Personal Time (PT) Group of Italy, world leaders in designing, conceptualising and manufacturing corporate gifts, has forged an exclusive and strategic tie-up with Unique Personal Sourcing PT of Kolkata with a view to garnering a share of the growing Indian market for corporate gifts and promotional items.

As part of the tie up, the PT Group will provide consultancy and creative inputs to Indian companies that wish to be different and communicate through appropriate gifts and promotions. The PT Group will also source its corporate gift requirements for the US and other markets from India.

According to Mr Anurag Himatsingka, Managing Partner of Unique Personal Sourcing, unofficial estimates have pegged the size of the Indian market for corporate gifts at Rs 1,000 crore. Unique Personal Sourcing PT India would endeavour to provide "customised, uniquely-designed products and services depending upon the need that best fits the image of the brand or the corporate," he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gabriele Busato, Head of PT Worldwide, said corporate gifts and promotional items were as important to the corporate world as any other actions that they undertook to achieve their purpose. Sourcing of new items and new ideas was also a focus area of the PT Group Worldwide. "To facilitate the sourcing element of our trade, we have built up organised groups and offices in Italy, Hong Kong, China and the US. The Indian market has huge potential and we should be able to provide the best of Italian design, concepts and creative thoughts to Indian companies.
