Tiruchi March 25 Air India Express, the subsidiary of Air India, is all set to launch its operations from Tiruchi. The first flights of the airlines on the Tiruchi-Dubai and the Tiruchi-Chennai-Singapore sectors will be flagged off on Monday.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the launch on Sunday, the Executive Director (Ground Services) of Air India, Mr S. Ranganathan, said that Air India Express would consider introducing more services from the city once the infrastructure at the airport is strengthened. The airline would consider introducing services from Coimbatore and Madurai once the expansion work at the airports was completed.

The Tiruchi-Dubai and Tiruchi-Chennai-Singapore flights would be operated thrice a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The Tiruchi-Dubai flight would return the same day and would be operated on the Tiruchi-Chennai-Singapore sector.

The Singapore-Chennai-Tiruchi flights would be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
