Select branches of State Bank of India that normally conduct Government business will remain open on Saturday, which is a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act. According to a spokesman for the Local Head Office of the Kerala Circle of the bank, these branches will entertain customers to facilitate remittance of both direct and indirect taxes by assessees.
