United Bank trust for underprivileged

Kolkata, March 30

United Bank of India has launched `United Bank Socio-Economic Development Foundation' - a trust aimed at promoting developmental activities for the underprivileged. The bank, according to Mr P.K. Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, will adopt a more proactive strategy for social development. It is now assisting many SHGs in various form, including helping some of them to market their products. A corpus of Rs 2.5 crore has been set up for the Foundation.
