Pension for Kerala coir workers

The Government has issued orders sanctioning Rs 2.42 crore for distribution of six months' pension to coir workers. The Government has instructed that the pension should be disbursed to all the eligible persons within a fixed timeframe, according to the office of the Minister for Coir and Co-operation.

With the disbursement of the amount, the pension arrears to the coir workers will be reduced to that of 21 months, which will be paid in instalments, the Minister's office said.
