NMCE launches new soya oil, chana contracts

Ahmedabad April 11 The National Multi-Commodity Exchange NMCE on Tuesday introduced a new series in soya oil, guar seed and chana for futures trading on its terminals.

While the maturity dates for both soya oil and guarseed is August 20, that for Chana is October 20.

The first delivery day begins three days ahead of the maturity date, on August 17 and October 17 respectively.

The delivery centre for soya oil is Indore in Madhya Pradesh, whereas that for guarseed is Jodhpur (basis centre), Bikaner, Nokha in Rajasthan and Deesa in Gujarat with freight discount through the Central Warehouse Corporation (CWC) receipt.

The delivery centre for Chana is CWC Delhi.

At present, NMCE runs futures contracts in 196 series in 70 commodities, including bullion, non-ferrous base metals, rubber, cardamom, pepper and raw jute.
