Educomp buys stake in ThreeBrix

New Delhi, April 11

Delhi-based Educomp Solutions Ltd has acquired 76 per cent stake in online tutoring service provider ThreeBrix E-Services Pvt Ltd. "We have picked up the stake for Rs 2.5 crore in an all-cash deal. We aim to strengthen our tutoring portfolio by this acquisition," said Mr Shantanu Prakash, Managing Director, Educomp. ThreeBrix owns "The Learning Hour" tutoring service and was started in 2005. It had tutoring service operations in West Asia and Dubai markets. Educomp estimates the size of the instructor led tutoring market as over Rs 5,000 crore in India and will seek to launch products in this space.
