Convergence AirChord unveils streaming tech Our Bureau
Bangalore April 13 The Delhi-based AirChord unveiled a next-generation streaming service for mobile users at CommunicAsia in Singapore on Friday. Airchord's application allows audio, video, TV and user-defined channels to be streamed from the Internet over mobile networks. With this, users can access feeds from across the world, including audio feeds of various Indian languages. This service will be made available to mobile users across different networks. It will also enable content providers to offer multimedia services to consumers on handsets that support Window CE, Java, Symbian, Brew and Palm OS. "This service empowers the mobile user to stream the contents over existing networks and access a range of services like unlimited and high-quality audio and video contents, personalised playlists, while allowing advertisers to customise the contents to suit their audience profile," said Mr Sanjay Sinha, CEO of Airchord Televenture Ltd. "We bring the entire delivery platform of content, aggregation, production and distribution channels." Indian enterprises will be able to seamlessly integrate AirChord technology with their existing infrastructure. This will assist in making resources, corporate intranets, video presentations and information accessible to their employees, business associates and customers at the same time on their handsets. AirChord technology acts like a proxy between the client and the audio/video servers.
