CM's guidance sought on State council's role


The CII Tamil Nadu Council Chairman, Mr Gopal Srinivasan, and the past Southern CII Chairman, Mr Kannan, with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, in Chennai on Monday.

Chennai April 16 Mr Gopal Srinivasan, Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry - Tamil Nadu State Council, called on the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, here on Monday.

Mr Gopal Srinivasan, who met Mr M. Karunanidhi along with Mr Karumuttu Kannan, past chairman, CII Southern Region, said the Confederation sought the Chief Minister's guidance on the CII's State Council role and plans for 2008.

He reaffirmed the CII's continued support for the State Government's initiatives in social inclusiveness.

The Confederation representatives also provided inputs on building inclusive cities through urban infrastructure development, affirmative action through skills development and developing a 20-year vision for Tamil Nadu, he said.
