New Delhi, April 18

Indian students can now have their French resident visa extended for six months after the successful completion of their academic courses to look for further opportunity in France, said Mr Dominique Girard, Ambassador of France to India. While speaking at a seminar organised by Confederation of Indian Industry and Mouvement des Enterprises des France (MEDEF) on Wednesday, he said the number of scholarship for the Indian students would be increased by 50 per cent in 2007. It would be done to enhance Indo-French relationship and for cooperation in the area of bio-energy technology.
